raises awareness of the needs of children with disabilities and their families in our community.
Purpose of Event: This annual event will raise funds for projects and organizations that serve
the needs of children with disabilities. All proceeds for the 2008 event will benefit the Be an
Angel Park / Katy, Texas project. The Be an Angel Park project is a joint effort of The Be An
Angel Fund, the City of Katy and Katy Rotary along with a committee of local business and
nonprofit organizations including Carrie’s Heart. The committee has joined together, taking on
the task of raising the $501, 572 needed to complete an all-inclusive, barrier-free playground
for all children at Katy City Park.

Events Sponsors: Individual & corporate sponsors are needed to help underwrite the cost of
hosting our local events. This is a great opportunity for those who like to support their local

Volunteer Opportunities: Local events provide opportunities for students and adults to give of
their time and self to others. Students can earn community service hours by volunteering their
time at Carrie's Heart events. Adult volunteers are also needed. Have skills, an area of
