Meet David...

David is a nonverbal nineteen year old boy with cerebral palsy, cognitive delays & sensory input issues.  He is malnourished due to the inability to eat solid food & the lack of resources to provide him with the nutritional supplement that he needs.  David lives in a two room Mayan hut in the small pueblito of Felipe Carrillo Puerto in the Zona Maya Sur.  David has no wheelchair & no positioning equipment and thus spends his days in a hammock in the hut.  David’s mother is extremely hard working and has struggled for years taking the best possible care of her son that she could with little to no resources available to her.  David is in desperate need of ongoing sponsorship so that he can live a life of dignity & comfort.

Future Needs: Adapted Reclining Wheelchair Mattress / Egg Crate with adaptations for spinal support Positioning Equipment Adapted Bathing Mat or Chair(Need "Water Mattress" -similar to a heavy duty pool float but it is filled with water) Stimulation Activities: CD Player & Music, Lights etc.
